Tasmania rewards EV driving — short distances, cheap hydro power — and punishes complacency, because the charger network is thin once you leave the Hobart–Launceston–Devonport triangle. Chargefox operates most of the fast chargers on the island, with a handful of Evie and other sites filling gaps. The east coast run through Bicheno and the west coast wilds both need actual planning: chargers exist, but not in reserve.

The listings below come from Open Charge Map, a community-maintained dataset. Confirm a site is online in the network’s app before you rely on it; on Tasmanian back roads the next option can be an hour away, and winter cold will trim your real-world range at exactly the wrong moment.
