EV Chargers in New South Wales

Every public charging site listed for New South Wales, plus who to call when you're stuck on the side of the road.

New South Wales has one of the more even spreads of public charging in the country: a dense core through Sydney, then workable coverage down the coast through Wollongong and the South Coast, up through Newcastle and the Hunter, and along the Hume corridor through Goulburn and Yass. The NRMA’s own charging network does a lot of the regional heavy lifting, alongside Chargefox, Evie, Tesla and Exploren sites, so on most highway runs you’re rarely far from a fast charger.

The sites listed below come from Open Charge Map, a community-maintained dataset. Treat each listing as “a charger exists here”, not “a charger is free and working right now” — always check live status in the operating network’s app before you commit to a detour, especially in the regions.

If you’re stopped on the side of the road rather than planning ahead, the directory further down this page is the part you want: NRMA attends EV breakdowns across NSW and the ACT, and you don’t have to be a member when you call. For the full picture of who tows what and how out-of-charge callouts work, our guide to EV roadside assistance in Australia covers it in detail.
