EV Charger Directory

Public charging sites for every state and territory, sourced from Open Charge Map and refreshed monthly.

This directory lists public EV charging sites across Australia, organised by state. Each state page shows where the chargers are, which networks operate them, how fast the fastest sites run, and — because this is EV Roadside — exactly who to call if you’re stranded rather than planning.

Where the data comes from

Charger listings are sourced from Open Charge Map, the open, community-maintained global registry of charging locations, used under a CC-BY-4.0 licence. We refresh the data monthly, normalise it against official state boundaries, and show the last-verified date on every site in the map. We don’t run chargers and we don’t take payment from networks to list them.

Two honest caveats. First, a community dataset lists sites that exist; it can’t promise a site is online or vacant this minute. For live status, use the operating network’s own app — every site popup on our map links to the right one, and our guide to charging apps covers which apps are worth installing before a road trip. Second, listings skew toward fast public sites that road-trippers care about, so your local shopping-centre wallbox may not appear. That’s a feature, not a gap: this directory is built for “where can I charge between here and there”, and for the day the answer is “nowhere close” we list verified roadside numbers on every page.

What’s on each state page

A short, honest read on the state’s charging landscape, live counts of listed sites and fast-DC sites, the towns with the most chargers, the networks operating there, and a click-to-call roadside directory ordered by who can actually help fastest — state motoring club first. Every phone number is verified against the provider’s official website, and the interactive map puts all of it on one screen, works offline once loaded, and finds the chargers nearest to you.
